I want to get to know you! What brings you to therapy? Have any goals? Challenges? Been to therapy before? It’s an opportunity to ask questions and feel out the process.

My clients come from a diverse client population, and “affirming” simply means I am an accomplice to those who are historically marginalized. This does not mean I do not see white clients - I absolutely do! Me identifying as an “affirming” therapist ensures those who need a safe space to seek therapy have that option.

If it is your first session with me, it may run over an hour.
A normal scheduled session is 50 minutes.
Extended sessions for couples or more in-depth work may be available upon request.

Session frequency depends on your needs, goals, and situation. To build rapport, I appreciate seeing you weekly. Don’t worry - We’ll check in regularly and adjust the cadence to reflect your needs, capacity, and growth. There’s no one-size-fits-all — your therapy rhythm is something we’ll shape together.

Hell yeah! I also offer Telehealth options via a HIPPA-compliant Zoom when needed. I prefer not to do couples/partnership work via Telehealth.

In my experience, I have discovered that couples often have external, individual challenges which often spill into the relationship. As a couples therapist, my client is the relationship, not the individual person[s]. Having individual sessions in tandem with couples ensures we stay in the couples lane!
