Perinatal Support.
Perinatal - the period either before or during pregnancy; and spanning the postpartum window of 12 months or more. Anyone can be a parent, but being a parent isn’t one-sized-fits-all. From single parents to couples, perinatal support is for anyone planning, carrying, or raising a child.
Perinatal Population.
Perinatal mental health care goes beyond coupling. Mishawn will help the following with perinatal support:

This includes married or unmarried heterosexual couples.

This includes couples that are same-sex and transgender, either married or unmarried.

Perinatal Services.
Mishawn’s expertise in perinatal support spans seventeen years, working in level I trauma hospitals and working with birthing people in community mental health. This fall, she will work toward certification for perinatal mental health.
